Roundtable discussion ” Safety of youth on the roads”

Today, on November 19, 2021, at 10:00, a clock at the Tempulli Academy, a roundtable discussion was held on the topic “Safety of youth on the roads” within the frame of activities to mark the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Accidents, which is marked worldwide on November 21st.

The meeting was opened with an introductory speech by Mr. Muhamed Krasniqi, founder of AMRKS who thanked all participants for their contribution for the realization of this week’s activities but also for the cooperation with the Tempulli and AMRKS over the years.

Regarding the prevention of road traffic accidents, the measures and actions of the institutions, Mr. Nezir Gashi, director at the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure and Lieutenant Colonel Jeton Rexhepi, director of the Road Traffic Division of the Kosovo Police, reveal the activities and initiatives they have undertaken during this year to reduce and prevent traffic accidents and showed the current situation on the roads in Kosovo.

Mr. Mevlan Bixhaku professor at the Tempulli Academy and Mr. Sami Mazreku, director of the Kosovo Insurance Bureau discussed the security situation on the roads of Kosovo, sharing data about the current situation and the contribution of both institutions in improving this situation.

The next activity will be held on November 21, at 18:00, in front of the National Theater in Pristina, where candles will be lit as a commemoration to the 99 victims of road traffic in Kosovo during 2021.
