Vision Zero as a multi-national project on road safety aims to achieve a system with no fatalities and serious injuries in road traffic. A basic principle of the vision is that “life and health cannot be exchanged for other benefits within the society”.
Vision Zero is based on four principles:
- Ethics
- Responsibility
- Safety
- Mechanisms for change
Deaths and injuries from traffic accidents are preventable, therefore not acceptable. People will make mistakes, but the transport system should be designed so that these mistakes are not fatal.
Different countries from around the world use different tools and means to achieve the main objective of “Vision Zero”.
For quite some time now, we have been conducting various activities which aim at improving the current situation and achievement of the objective of this project.
Our activities include the development of citizen awareness campaigns, organization of conferences and seminars, which provide an additional opportunity for all participants to share their ideas with local and international experts to face challenges related to road safety, accident prevention and continuous improvement of road infrastructure, transportation, vehicle insurance, presentation of models and successful implementation of various activities on road safety.
