The third Sunday of November marks the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. This day is marked with the purpose of commemorating millions of people who are losing their lives in road accidents, but also for supporting family members of victims.
Traffic accidents, for many years now, are not only a challenge for our society and our country, but a major global concern, which in most countries are the biggest killer of people. This concern is related to recent statistics, which show that about 1.3 million people around the world are killed by road accidents every year, while some 50 million people are injured.
This year, for the third time, Kosovo joined various countries around the world that marked the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, and like other years in Kosovo, the activities were coordinated by the College of Applied Technical Sciences “Tempulli” and the Kosovo Association of Motorization “AMRKS” in cooperation with partners of the Kosovo Road Safety Forum.

Saturday, 18 November 2017- in cooperation with the Kosovo National Center for Blood Transfusion, a voluntary blood donation action was organized at the College “Tempulli” facility dedicated to persons injured in traffic accidents.
Sunday, November 19, 2017 – at the National Theatre of Kosovo, 113 candles were lit in memory of 113 people who died in traffic accidents in 2017.
