The Ninth international conference “Road Safety Assessment – Challenges and Opportunities” was held

The Director of the Tempulli Academy, Professor Muhamed Krasniqi, in his introductory speech expressed his gratitude and thanks for the participation and contribution of institutions of the field, from the country and the world in this conference. He emphasized that support of this event also from the academic community dealing with traffic, transport and road safety, have placed Kosovo on the map of the most important events in the region and beyond. In the introductory panel of the conference to the participants,  an address was made by the Vice Mayor of the Municipality of Pristina, Mrs. Donjeta Sahatçiu, who spoke about the importance of road safety and the current developments in this field in the capital. She pledged to increase cooperation and create better conditions for the movement of citizens in urban environments.

Representatives from various institutions presented at the conference, such as: National Technical University of Athens, Polytechnic University of Tirana, University St. Clement Ohridski from Bitola, Tempulli Academy, Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure-MMPHI, Municipality of Pristina, Kosovo Police, the Kosovo Insurance Bureau (BKS), the Kosovo Association of Motorization (AMRKS), the International Road Assessment Program (iRAP), IRU Academy, the International Road Federation (IRF) and the European Council for Transport Safety (ECTS).

 

About 100 participants with physical presence and dozens with remote (online) participants took part in the conference.
