Performing technical inspection of vehicles in Kosovo make Centers Vehicle Technical Control, which are licensed by the Ministry of Infrastructure.

Technical control of the vehicle can be: regular technical inspection, periodic and extraordinary.

Regular technical inspection done after the expiry of the registration of the vehicle and conducted once a year.

Periodic technical inspection done in fixed periodically every six (6) months for the following categories:

– Public transport vehicles

– Transport vehicles to move goods over 7.5 t

– Vehicles transporting dangerous goods

– Fire fighting vehicles

– Police vehicles

– Ambulances

– Vehicles for training of candidates for the driver (driving schools)

– Auto-Taxis and

– Auto-rent-a-car

Extraordinary technical control is to verify the technical condition of the vehicle that regularity by order of an officer authorized by the police.

Working hours

Technical control centers work five days a week (Monday – Friday). Weekends (Saturday-Sunday day) and state holidays are not working days. Working hours are from 8:00 to 17:00.

PROGRAM FOR INSPECTION IN TECHNICAL CONTROL CENTERS

This program is developed under the Administrative Instruction no. 2005/10

PURPOSE OF THE TRAINING

The training aims to provide candidates enough knowledge in theoretical and practical work, to be professionally prepared to work as  licensed inspectors in these centers.

CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION

Under the conditions provided for by law and the Administrative Instruction no. 2006/10 of MTPT (now MI), staff (inspectors) of vehicles technical inspection should have completed the technical school of the following fields:

– Machinery;

– Mechanic;

– Auto electrician;

– Traffic .

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR TRAINING

– High school diploma (original or certified in the municipality);

– Driving license (photocopy);

– Form of application;

– Training fee.

WHAT DOES THIS TRAINING MEAN?

In our country there are dozens of licensed centers for technical control of vehicles. In addition to physical conditions and technical equipment, these centers constantly need qualified workers (inspectors) to work in the inspection of motor vehicles.

WHAT AFTER COMPLETION OF TRAINING

After completion of theoretical training and practical work in CVTC, candidates who successfully pass the final exam will receive certificates and these certificates under MTPT (now Ministry of Infrastructure) issues licenses for inspection. Organized training for all technical control lines.
